Over the past decade, she has specialized in designing and scaling recruiting functions for companies during their most critical stages of growth. Before joining Emergence, she led talent at Render, Scale AI, and Coinbase—each experience shaping how she approaches building teams, systems, and culture from the ground up.
At Render, she served as Head of Talent, establishing the foundation that supported the company’s expansion post–Series B. At Scale AI, she led global technical recruiting, developing and designing the blueprint for hiring talent in positions at the frontier of AI. And at Coinbase, she cut her teeth in hyper-growth, helping to build engineering teams that fueled the company’s path to IPO.
Her approach to talent is grounded in one belief: the right team, built intentionally, becomes a company's greatest competitive advantage. She combines rigorous data fluency with authentic relationship building, ensuring every hire strengthens culture, capability, and momentum—not just headcount.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Brie returned to the Bay after studying International Business at the University of Oregon to build a career helping founders build exceptional teams. She continues to be energized by the challenges of scaling companies at their most pivotal moments. When she's not thinking about talent strategy, you'll find her with a book in hand, hiking local trails, or hunting for the best seafood the Bay has to offer.
