Bland × Emergence

A year ago, the question was whether AI could be trusted with a phone call that actually mattered. Bland has spent that time answering it, one regulated industry at a time. They're now running 3.5 million calls a week for customers in healthcare, financial services, and insurance. These are verticals that don't forgive mistakes. With this $50M series C round, total funding crosses $100M.

Why we're doubling down: When Yaz El-Baba and Gordon Ritter first backed Bland, the bet was that voice would become a serious enterprise infrastructure layer, and that the companies who could earn trust in regulated environments would define the category. Bland has done exactly that. Production volume at this scale is the signal that separates real infrastructure from a promising demo.

What we're watching: Whether voice becomes the primary interface for regulated enterprise workflows, the way Salesforce became the system of record for sales. If Bland keeps compounding in healthcare and financial services, that is the category they are building.

Founders Isaiah Granet and Sobhan Nejad have consistently done the harder thing: building in a category many dismissed and serving industries where trust has to be earned, not assumed. That discipline is exactly why this is working.

— Yaz El-Baba, General Partner
