“Growing a business takes time. So you’d better be doing it with people you like.”

Santi has personal experience with Emergence’s people-first approach. “People genuinely cared about me, and not just about what I was doing.”

He took that philosophy forward while developing Emergence’s relationship with Zoom founder Eric Yuan. While other firms had Eric driving around California for meetings, Santi traveled to wherever Eric was over a period of six months. By respecting the entrepreneur’s time, talent, and vision, Santi was able to cultivate the same bond with Eric that Emergence had with him: one that no money can buy.

Before joining Emergence, Santi founded AXG Tecnonexo, a SaaS e-learning company in Argentina. He expanded the company to 150+ employees with operations across Latin America and the U.S. Santi is also a founding board member of Puente Labs, an organization that helps founders of Latin American high-potential growth companies scale their businesses globally.

He received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and holds a BS in Economics from St. Andrew’s University in Argentina. He is a Kauffman Fellow, an Endeavor Entrepreneur, and currently serves on the boards of Airkit, Civitas Learning, Clearco, CrunchBase, High Alpha, Openpath, Quasar, Restorando, Talent Hack, Top Hat, Xapo and Zoom.

Santi was named #23 of the top 100 VCs on the Forbes Midas List in 2021. He was one of the first three LatAm VCs to ever make the list.

After spending six months backpacking around the world, Santi made it his lifetime mission to visit at least half of the countries in the world. He’s an avid opera and classical music follower and, like almost every Argentine, is passionate about soccer.
