Dewey Chambers joined Emergence as Chief Financial Officer in January 2010. Prior to Emergence, Dewey served as Chief Financial Officer of Vector Capital. At Vector, Dewey was a member of the investing team and also managed Vector's financial operations and served as the day-to-day contact for Vector's limited partners. He lead financial due diligence on potential portfolio companies, advised portfolio companies on financial and operational matters and raised debt financing for portfolio companies. Prior to Vector, Dewey was the Chief Financial Officer at Visto Corporation, an enterprise software company in Vector's portfolio. Prior to Visto, he was with Sunterra Corporation, a publicly held company, where he served as Vice President and Treasurer from January 1997 to July 1999. Prior to Sunterra, he served as Vice President and Treasurer of La Quinta Inns, Inc., a publicly held company. During his tenure, La Quinta’s market capitalization increased from $200 million to $1.6 billion. Dewey began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP where he served for nine years rising to the rank of Senior Manger- Audit.

Dewey is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dewey resides in Burlingame, California with his wife and three daughters. He is an avid sailor and classic car enthusiast.
